1990-93 Accord Tranny question
I have a 1990 Accord with a blown tranny (it's a survivor, no rust, only 100k) with the Sports option (which as I understand it was simply an option in the TCU) will there be any problems switching in a 1993 Accord tranny from a car without the Sports tranny option?
I would not imagine so, I know the casing an all that is the same, but just wanna make sure that the Sports option should still work and such.

Trans will drive for about 50 yards, shifts fine, but after that it starts slipping, then it won't stay in gear, or go into a new gear. After shutting it down for a few minutes I can start it up, drive it another 50 yards, and then same thing happens.
ya, valve body stopped up/restricted and the drum is running dry.
that is def a rebuild. was just making sure as the georgia made computers die.
anyway, in the general repair work that i do that gen is just about completely identical in everything. they are very simple with only the 2 solenoid packs and a throttle cable shift control so i'd say you would be good to go with that change.

Is this an internal valve body on these tranny's or is it something that can be removed and cleaned externally? If it's possible that I could avoid ripping the tranny out and putting in a new one that would be great.
Find another tranny, it's not a TH400, not serviceable without removal and complete teardown.
