what is this? transmission cover? the car is currently running like this, i can ruin the transmission if i keep running like this? of course i'm gonna fix it,but just to know.

 

a little sheild goes there. i dont think its imortant, i never keep mine on my cars.. but im sure many will disagree with me.

 

by the looks of all the oil under there you have bigger problems then the inspection cover missing

i now it's needed but what is it purpose?,to prevent dust,gravel and squirrels to get in there?

wooo I just noticed your missing your brace under there also pick that up at the junkyard also it ties your transmission to your engine together you will see it when you go to the junkyard it bolts onto the dustshield.

that cover is one of the things that keeps rocks and SHAT going into your flywheel and then your clutch. so pretty much, YES its important and you should find one asap

i have never used that shield and never had a problem. and my engine looks like that too. haha. ALOT of efs have engines that look like that, and ALOT of efs are running around without that clutch case covers. haha.
