H22 swap
I'm doing a H22 swap in a 97 accord Se
1. Grinding the driver side mount is it possible to make fit for the H22. I have read that the prelude will work and the accord won't work. But some say that the accord will but prelude won't. Who has done this and what will I have to grid. I intend to use the accord. The reason I ask this is because the place I'm doing this I'll do the H22 Swap and exhaust in one day. Then I'll tow it to another location to do the electrical for auto.
2. Are there any quite exhaust systems other than using a stock prelude v-tec muffler.

1) Every guide I have seen clearly states to use the Prelude driver's side mount. Your alternative is to buy a Hasport mount or the full ESP mount kit.
2) More quiet than OEM? You can use your Accord exhaust...... You will have to do welding. You can make almost any exhaust quiet by using resonators.
RS*R is quiet
WS2 is reasonably quiet
Just do a search for exhausts?

I used the prelude drivers side mount and it worked perfect. As far as exhausts go you have to take a few things into consideration such as is there a minimal or maximum size exhaust you need to use to have the gases exit the exhaust system properly, creating too little or too much back pressure will result in a loss of power and potential damage to your o2 sensors. I ended up using a thermal research system for the prelude on my Accord knowing it was made for the car and that motor but it ended up not being what i wanted so i sold it and got a greddy. However, my car is ricey loud.
