Hi, are longer rails available to extend the travel distance of the driver's seat in 2001 CR-V? My legs are just a little too long to get comfortable. An inch or 2 or 3 would probably do it.

Am I right in thinking that the current rails can't just be relocated (and still be safe in a crash)?
Any other suggestions on how to increase the legroom, where to buy, etc?

I would have the seats re welded to the rails further back, keep it all stock, just change the mounting points. Should be easy for a welder to do
