Default 93 Teg Timing Belt Snapped Now Build Thread

So i got a brand new 98ls Motor and at 13,500 Miles my timing belt snapped! Luck fully I wasn't moving cause i was sitting in traffic on 66 East. Don't know why so I'm tearing my motor apart and than going to build it for my Turbo Set up. Luck fully I had no Damage to my Head or my Block.

Does any one know why the timing belt would snap at around 13000 Miles? And can i not turn it into a build thread?

yes you can turn it into a build thread, some people just like being snotty ********, and i have no idea why it would have snapped, did you examine the old one? How did it break? Its possible it was defective, or maybe something was in the timing belt housing that caused it to snap

Yea i did examine the old one there is a pic of it in the top of the thread. Everything is fine i am starting to think maybe something got up in there and cut it....So Today I Painted my Block and my VC still waiting for my bro to do my stenciling on my VC. Pulled off my Control arms to do my ball joints and put my camber kit on. Ordered my Timing Belt and a new Head gasket just waiting for them to come in.

your head was probably fine especially if you were sitting at idle, ive had belts snap on three honda motors and just put on another belt and it was fine.

good luck on the build.
p.s take the bullshit comments with a grain of salt bro, its just the internet
