Default Clutch chatter, please help!

so i recently decided to drop the tranny in my 91 prelude and put a clutch in it, since i let me little cousin learn to drive a manual transmission...needless to say he wasted it...anyhow, everything went great...have put a couple thousand miles on it now, but it chatters pretty hard sometimes in reverse only...any ideas would be much appreciated...btw, im new to the forum, so hello all fellow honda fanatics

Chatter in reverse is normal.

Chatter going forward is dictated mostly by the friction material.

i forgot to mention it only does it when the pedal isnt fully disengaged...if you let the pedal all the way out, it doesnt do it at all...seems weird that its normal...but i trust ya
and thanks for the reply

If it did it with the pedal all the way out, that would be called slipping.
