sounds like that because of the muffler and intake.
also when the engine is modify with aftermarket internal. the engine tends to idle a bit different.
my built poor mans r idle like a subaru sometimes

 

sounds like a misfire usually cylinder #1 take a spark plug wire off and thats how it will sound

 

 

Well for one this Si is boosted so thats ur first guess....

 

more aggressive Cams make a big difference in sound especially at idle. also the type of header and muffler.
and yeah that 8th gen civic is boosted lol

 

I've heard that the intega sounding like a subie is the result of a bent valve or something like that. could be wrong though.
