Ok guys here is the problem. I have a b18b and had to have a crumple bent exhaust put in. Now the big problem is the new emissions standards here in houston, I need a cat. So I thought I would replace my loudass M1 wannabe exhasut with a catbcak. Problem is that a 95 hb catback starts at the exhaust manifold so no room for the cat. I want a mandrel bent exhaust so what do you guys suggest.


ohhh I am also about to place the vtec head on so I am trying to get a header that has a 2.5inch collector.

 

Either get a custom mandrel bent exhaust made that fits a cat or shorten an aftermarket exhaust to add a cat.

 

I have a tanabe racing med with a random tech cat.

 

buy a catalytic and get an exhaust off an si model. they have the cat's underneath

 

ive run onto the same problem. they now check for cats in my state. figured i go legal now that my vfac trick wont work anymore cuz they are going to look anyway from now on.

there has to be more hybrid setups than this? what else are you guys useing? does everyong have to weld there ***** up or is there any weird bolt up combo's for us SI owners?
please....? i hate hack jobs, cuz that is all you'll find out here. that is what i have now to make my greddy work. crazy ugly.... just fugly
