Hey guys, I have a set of gunmetal 16x7 ITR rims J spec with new tires. Currently they need to be repainted or remove the current paint, other than that they are mint. My question is if I were to sell them as is. How much do you think I could get for them? and would the price change if I polished them and try to sell them? I'm at work now, but I'll try to post a pic later on..

 

Price will change if they are not original. I bought mine mint with original RE-01 with plenty of meat for $1100 shipped.

I would say you could sell them for $900-1000 depending on the tires if nice looking.

 

i got mine for $800 mint tires but the wheels could use a respray

 

You guys suck at shopping. I bought mine for 550 in good condition and good tires. OP: I am sure people would rather buy chipped original paint than buying them resprayed.

you would have to be insane to suggest this. most honda wheels i've came across that are painted are just a basecoat clearcoat. if someone refinished them with oe style paint they will look new again

I have seen and talked to countless people who would rather have the ORIGINAL paint. AND you wouldn't get nearly as much money if you had them professionally resprayed.

keep telling yourself this, who know, maybe some people do feel this way. i can't for the life of me understand why someone would pay more for a 10 year old wheel that's chipped up than one that looks new

I got a set with no tires for 400 shipped with center caps. Paint is pretty good, but I'm painting them black anyway, so it doesn't matter.

 

Ive had 2 sets myself first set i got for $300 with tires they were painted black tho so i got them redone 2nd set i traded work emotions for but just sold them for $600 i wouldent pay 800-900 unless they were mint neither of my sets were.

 

I have a set for sale that have been sitting in my room for 2 yrs if anyone is interested. Just so u can see how they look resprayed here is a picture. They were curbed a bit by the previous owner nothing major though.

What sux the most is that I'm gonna loose big time on the tires, Michelin Pilot Sports 215/45/16... they are NEW..anyone want them or know how much I could sell?? Thanks for all the input.

 

what paint was used? that's going to effect the price quite a bit
