Default Bisimoto V2 header tested!

So we finally found time to test the V2 header on a customers build!

Specs:
75mm D16Z6 stock block/head/IM/TB.
P29 pistons on stock rods/bolts.
Head milled .010
Blox/Crower 3 cam
3" short ram intake.
2.25" 300 cell metal core cat
Apex-i WS2 exhaust (chambered muffler)
D16Z6 transmission w/an MFactory 4.928 FD.

Note: This test is NOT VS. A STOCK HEADER! This is Bisimoto V2 vs. Dynatech.

This testing was all done the same day. The car was first tuned with a Dynatech 4-1 ceramic coated header.

We then took off the header and installed the Bisimoto V2 header and mated it to the same cat and exhaust, no other changes were made. We debated on doing this test open header, but the customer wanted a true back-to-back comparison just as the vehicle is driven on the street.

With no changes to the tune, it made the same power as before. The charts posted are after re-tuning.

4-5 ft-lbs almost everywhere over an already decent header on such a mild build is pretty impressive to me! I'd guess 10-15whp over a stock header.

These are both 4-1 headers, and yes both were tuned.

Dynatech quit making this header quite a while ago. It has a 2" collector.

Aww damn....I thought I was going to see results on the B series header, lol. None the less thanks for the post.

BTW, what was the price difference of the Dynatech header vs the V2?

Was the Bisi a 2.5 or 3" collector?

Edit: Throw a test pipe on too....that cat has to be killing power on both headers

it has a 2.5in collector and if the cat were 2.5 im sure there would be na increase but a 2.5in test pipe over a 2.5in cat will see negligable gains and it will make the exhaust drone more. trust me, i ran my y8 with a test pipe and WS2 and it droned like crazy
