Icon2 Someone help me!! What ecu should i get? details inside..

I am buildind a ls/vtec in a 96 integra se. using my ls block and just bought a b16a head. The guy I bought it from says it might be a type-r head hes not sure.It does have the red valve cover tho. His room mate left it when he moved out so I bought it. I will be using SuperTech pistons with 10.1c/r and probably get some new valve springs and have a machine shop clean it up for me. I want to also do some work to the block as well. I will have it cleaned and honed and possibly ported. I am going to use my LS 5speed tranny. I plan on putting a boost kit on later to run around 8-9psi. Prob greddy t3/t4. So guys please let me know what ecu i should use with this set up and what all else I could do to make the performance better. Ex.block and head.. thanks Dont hate I am getting back into the import scene after about 5 years and feel good so help me out!!!

easiest way to tell....does it have dual valve springs??? I'd say go with hondata if you are going boost....like an s200 or s300 with boost option...a little pricey buy worth it.

I'd go with a little lower compression if you're going boost, right around 9.5:1 will be good. Post pics of the head, also the head's castings on the front side by the exhaust ports. A valve cover can be changed, so it's impossible to tell by just that. The dual valve springs on both intake and exhaust sides would mean it is an ITR head, you can also tell by looking at the ports.

Even with the LS/V, you're going to need tuning to get the car to run to it's fullest potential. I suggest a P28 or a P72 tuned on eCtune, Neptune, Hondata, etc.

I got someone to pick it up and mail it to me today it has dual valve springs on both the intake and exhaust sides. What could I do to make the bottom of the motor (BLOCK) more race ready or beefed up? I dont want to spend tons of money on the block maybe 400-600 bucks....Also does anyone know how much it cost to take this head and get it cleaned up and a valve job done etc..???Thanks
