its a 99 civic with a boosted d16y8. everytime i put gas in, it will misfire after start up. then it will go away after about a minute or so. when i come to a stop the engine will fluctuate idle and then stall out. starts right back up. doesnt always misfire either. i have a couple ideas but just want to know if anyone else has had this issue before. its tuned on a p28 neptune rtp running 880cc injectors. so far my ideas are:

-bad fuel filter
-bad tune
-bad tps
-bad dizzy
-bad alternator

the list could really go on. so if anyone knows please comment! thanks. if this needs to be moved to the FI section im sorry ahead of time!

What condition are the plugs, wires, cap, rotor?

 

no CEL, plugs are black with fouling marks on them. all of them to be exact. so maybe the dizzy? IACV was clean but ill check again.

 

Inspect/replace all of your basic ignition components listed in my earlier post.

 

ive replaced cap and rotor. plug wires may be next. i have had a small amount of piston slap due to a looser fitment for my setup. wondering if im loosing compression in the cylinders and that may be causing it to stall out. not sure. thanks.

 

you should have your car re tuned, 880cc injectors are huge and the pulse width on the injectors could prob. use shortening. sounds to me like its dumping mad fuel.
