I was wondering if anyone on here has had this setup running any oem ecu (ie-CTR,ITR,JDMR,etc),I am running a stock bottom b18a,ls rods(arp bolts),CTR pistons, and a b16 head(no shave)so about 11.8:1 comp, and also how high are you reving, where does power band end?

ya plenty have melted pistons.

CTR pistons are ****, and shouldn't be used anything that isn't a b16..
There's a whole list of reason why ctr pistons are garbage but i'll give you two..
Their heavy.. and they **** up the flame on the combustion process, they spread it too thin and the process is all flubbed because of it.. there's more reason , i dont feel like given them tho

your CR wont be around 11.8.
More like high 13's with a OEM 3layer HG only reving to 8k.

makes sense, the flame front cant reach out across the top of the piston is what your saying?

Exactly.

Again i pointed out your CR will be high 13's almost 14.0 Area.. which exceeds the level of pump gas.

see I calculated the CR before and I thought it would be that high, then I just checked it on cspeeds comp calc the other day said 12:3 with b16 piston to deck and 11.9 with ls piston-deck height. what piston do you recommend?

That's because C-Speed's calculator is off on CTR pistons. I don't think it takes the different compression height into account.

CTR would NOT be the piston I'd choose....for hardly anything

Stock computer....HELL NO. Those timing maps wouldn't even be CLOSE
