I saw this kit and was wondering what the difference is between it and the ASR subframe brace. The Beaks kit is $75 vs. 190 for the ASR. What are the pros and cons for the Beaks kit? Thanks

 

Beaks doesnt do nearly as good a job as the ASR. ASR is a much bigger peice that spreads the force out over the area. The Beaks is basically just some brackets and wont help a whole lot with tearout. ASR totally worth it.

 

I would go with the asr brace. I've seen pictures of subframes being ripped with the beaks kit and have yet to seen one from a car with asr brace.

 

Please post those pics. I have yet to see ANY documented evidence of tear out using the Beaks kit on an EG/DC chassis...

The only documented case i have seen was on an EK chassis equipped with the old kit.
