I need some assistance in finding a replacement master brake master cylinder.

My brake booster is stock and has the following bolt patter if you where looking at it from the front bumper



It has 15/16 stamped on the side and my car does NOT have ABS.

I have gone to advance auto many times to find a replacement but with no luck, I have no clue what car this came off of originally anymore unfortunately so if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it!

Negative, from the pictures ive seen on advance auto it mounts the wrong way...

 

If it says 15/16 then its from a pre 92 4 door honda Civic EX. Not stock for your car. They moved to a 7/8 after 92.

 

Just get a del sol 7/8. That's what I got and it fit perfect. No mods necessary. And I don't have ABS either. Mine is a 93 SI.

 

'90 - '91 Civic EX sedan is the one you want. 15/16s non ABS and bolts up to regular civic booster. Honda part number: 46100-SH4-A11

 

I have a 1994 EX with a 15/16th inch BMC. I'm pretty sure 7/8th inch was just used on non-EX/Si models. Consider swapping a DA BMC on, they're 1 inch.

 

Doesn't bolt up to a non ABS brake booster and it uses one different sized fitting

7/8 was used on USDM non ABS EX coupes, JDM SiR-S without ABS and probably on the Del Sol Vtec. All other non ABS 5th gen civics came with a 13/16s MC

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I highly doubt that. The only 1" MC i'm aware of is on the '97 - '01 ITRs. Even at that using a larger MC than you need just results in a rock hard brake pedal.

The OPs question was which MC bolts up to a stock non ABS brake booster, and the answer is still a '90 - '91 Civic EX sedan MC. Alternatively you could use a '94 - '97 Integra RS non ABS MC and brake booster combo.

 

I'm 99.99% sure the 15/16ths BMC is OEM and I didn't see an ABS pump under the hood of my 1994 EX coupe.

And I'm completely sure the DA non-ABS was 1in.

Master cylinder size isn't that important, a smaller one will do the same thing and allow finer control, just you have to mash it harder to do the same thing as a 1in.

 

Agreed, this bolts up to the EG booster.

 

Sorta. The pedal will feel softer with a smaller master cylinder, but you'll be able to create more pressure than with a larger one once you put your foot down.
