hi i have a 99 accord v6 and i started driving it this morning and when my vtec usually kicks in (around 5000 rpms) it's very smooth, but this morning it started out smooth and ended up sputtering like it didn't want to engage or engaged in and out. Also, my check engine light came on blinking, not a solid light, but blinking. what are the possible problems and where exactly is the solenoid located so i can clean it? thanks for all your answers...

 

same thing just happened to me. try not to use vtec and try to save the sensor but its most likely blown. If blown, just replace it $150-200 with labor
