How good is a spoon T-body for the ITR?

Default How good is a spoon T-body for the ITR?

I was just wondring if anyone has dyno'd it on their cars, if its worth the gain in power etc etc.

and yes I have done a search and have come up with nothing,.

charlie, good upgrade for non ITRs...but expensive
cheaper to try an get a used ITR t-body

Agreed, Spoon has great products but you can find similar products with almost as good a quality for half the price.

this is ben @ AJ:

Spoon's TB is cheaper then stock ITR TB. If you have an ITR to start with this mod , I think it is too much if you buy one or if you get the chance to sell the original one.
A taper bore TB sure will increases airflow velocity and you will notice more TB response and it work very good especially with inbox , Mugen or Comptech air box.

We are testing our own TB 70-64mm (modified ITR TB) and this happen to work very good with aggressive cams application since the cams need more induction.

If you want serious gains from TB on your stock engine (N/A), I think this is pretty much impossible , we are trying a 80-66mm (modified stock ITR TB) on a stock ITR and dyno says 1 peak whp but we see quite good mid-range from 6-8 whp. If you are not happy with this , I think you have to go ITBs

yeah, i think you asked about the spoom springs earlier too... they are decent, but many other good alternatives for cheaper.
