So one of my wheels is slowly leaking air (about 5lbs a day) The air is only leaking from the screws that hold the face to the wheel hoop. Any one have any suggestions? i would prefer to take it to a professional but my local tire guy doesn't know of one. Is it possible to fix it myself?

 

Remove the tire, and put some silicone around the inner barrel of the wheel.

 

thanks man... i think it already had it applied. I didn't realize that what it was for. Im going to re-apply tomorrow.

 

in my experience i would rebuild my true 3 piece wheels every couple of years. a lot of times, just applying some silicone on top of the existing, warn out silicone will not last very long. take caution
