We spoke to some of the NSCRA staff at the track tonight and they're interested in making a Street Drag Radial class if we can get 8 cars minimum to run at the next event October 4th (or the event in December and beyond)

I think it would be great for guys who can't run S04 or any of the other higher classes. I would like to see it stay a FWD Drag Radial class but obviously that won't happen unless we get at least 8 cars to commit.

So what do you think? Anyone interested?

 

I am down for the December race for sure. My car cant compete with the S04 class(high 8 to mid 9 sec class), i think a FWD Drag Radial class is a good idea for NSCRA!

Definetly would like to see some nitrous cars out there.

 

This is getting alot of interest on Florida Honda Crew.

I think its the perfect place for the 600hp and under guys.

 

Sounds interesting, I too would like to see a Street DR class!!!

 

Maybe, go to the Bradenton and Gainesville events and see how the full interior street car class goes.

A class for "true" street driven cars is always nice to see.

 

I don't know if i'm going to be attending the Bradenton event due to the Mile Marker 1 standing mile event on the same weekend.

I have about 5 committed local racers for the Oct 4th event and am looking for a few more. I know there are guys out there that are ready to run this class, let's make it happen.

 

I would bring out my SI for that. True street is were its at.

 

I'll be runing M/T Drag radials on my S2000.

So I'm in!

We're gonna try to keep it a FWD class but that's up to the NSCRA guys in the end.

Isn't that how the street stock, and SFWD class started. To let the "streetcars" compete with each other? I can't make the Oct. 4th because the baby is due on the 2nd. If I can, I'll be there, but ? I would like to see/compete in this class though, post up a schedule of possible events. I know there will be more than 8 people at this event that own drag radials. Just get this class started guys.

 

Lets try to get a list of cars that would want to race in this class.

 

I am 100% going to be there with my car on ET STREETS whether there is a class or not. I'll forward this to some of the other guys who might be interested.

I talked to John Brown today about this possible fwd radial class. Its basically gonna be run whatcha brung on drag radials(not bias plys). Should be very interesting.

I have 1 guy thats in for sure, and 3 others that are very interested.

 

I am also very interested in the index racing that is being talked about/negotiated. 11.5 would be good for me, and the fans would like to see a class running all out with everyone running about the same. Anyone else interested in index (any) let's let them know!
