My brother has a 97 civic with 212k miles on it and it needs a transmission I think 2nd and 4th gear are going. I want to know if anyone knows a good place in western pa to get a good transmission for a decent price or is it cheaper to have it rebuilt. Maybe even if someone has one that they are willing to sell and ship or whatever its a 5spd. Just let me know what you guys think I should do. Thanks

what would you want for the tranny and what shape is it in with miles and all that and would you ship it if I cant find one?

 

tranny is in very good shape.every gear works with no grinds.the only reason its out of the car its because i swapped an y8 in my hatch that had a blown block 130k miles on tranny(no clutch or flywheel).
I'm not sure,figure out how much it would cost to ship it to you.
