Search brah, everything is covered here probably a dozen times. You should be able to find guides in the FAQ thread at the top of the page.

If the car is a non Si the SI engine harness will not work with a DX or STD underdash harness. The firewall plugs are not the same as the Si has a Cylinder Position Sensor in the harness and the DX and STD does not.

He needs to use the stock engine harness and convert the car to MPFI before he can swap the motor in or he has to replace the under dash harness with one from an Si model for the Si engine harness to plug into it.

Resistor box depends solely on what injectors you decide to use most a/m or OBD0 require one. If your injectors are OBD1 then you don't need one. The car should have one on it now and the Si harness should accommodate one as well. You should just steal what you need off of the Si harness and stick with the original harness.
You have much more to cover then just the resistor box. You will also have to wire up the vtec and switch out the ECU to run vtec. You've got axles to worry about because std hubs won't fit the axles your going to need.

It's a big can of worms
