Re-Building my Ls motor
WELL A FEW WEEKS AGO WE HADDA REALLY BAD RAIN STORM IN ARIZONA THAT ONLY LASTED ABOUT 10MIN LOL LONG ENOUGH TO **** UP MY CAR.. YEAH YOU PROBABLY GOT IT I SUCKED UP SOME WATER IN MY *****-WRIGGED COLD AIR INTAKE... THANK GOT I DIDNT HYDRO-LOCK IT I JUST BENT A ROD BUT AT THE WORSE TIME.. SO AFTER THINKING ABOUT WHAT I SHOULD DO, IF I SHOULD LET A SHOP TAKE CARE OF IT OR IF I SHOULD RE-BUILD IT MYSELF I CAME ACROSS A COMPLETE SHORT BLOCK .. AS I LOOKD AT IT ITS GETTIN ME REALLY STOKED ABOUT GETTIN MY CAR GOIN AGAIN! SO I DECIDED TO RE-BUILD IT MYSELF... ITS A B18A1 IN MY EF9 NOW AND I HAVE A REPLACEMENT B18A1 SHORT BLOCK SO ITS PRETTY MUCH BOLT EVERYTHING UP AND GO.. SOO WHAT IM REALLY POSTING THIS FOR IS TO SEE IF THERES ANY TIPS ANY OF YALL GOT FOR ME??? IVE BEEN READIN DIY FOR MONTHS AND FEEL PRETTY CONFIDENT.. SO ANY TIPS???
first tip.. please dont write in all caps. nobody is going to read your thread. its a headache.
just take your time on the build. if you want it done right, dont rush anything and double/triple check all torque specs. theres not too many tips that people can give you beyond that. GL with the build!
