Default This may be a dumb question BUT I gotta ask it

Why is it not possible to make our cars AWD. I undrestand why not RWD because of the position and the engine and trans BUT how come Mitsu Evo engine and Audi engine are placed horizatal and AWD is still achievable. Other the te Obvious costs involved and getting a drive shaft to the rear, what else makes it impossible?? Also how does mitsu and other companies make it happen??

Why can't we do this

Everything is possible when you have the $$$$$$.

I would assume that installing a differential and drive shafts in the back would be a fairly good challenge.

Intalling AWD on a car that was not design for it in the first place is big $$$

So who's going to throw a B-series motor in the back of a CRX, a la the Elise?

You know, if a RWD conversion were to be done, i'd bet that the C32B would
fit rather nicely in the engine bay.

All the WRC cars are fitted with AWD.. and we all know Focus never had the option..
It's possible.. just takes money (and a Turbo to make 300 hp at 6500 rpm.)
