it's obvious he layed down for hight,but in my opinion as john stated,''it's my team i will do want i want''.i somewhat agree with that.this whole deal makes for great entertainment.was just wondering what everybody else's opinion is.

 

That's correct, it's his team, he can do what he wants.

It's happened in other forms of high level racing and will happen again.

 

John has every right to do what he wants, however, I think he needs to look out for his "teammates" too.

 

He's going to do whatever it takes to take care of his corporate sponsors especially the Auto Club. Despite being a competition and wanting to win, professional motorsports is a BUSINESS. ROI ROI ROI ROI

 

If it weren't for John his teammates might still be pulling cylinder heads or rolling up the tarps at the end of the day. Same thing for Pedregons...where would they be without Force.

Cruz had his chance and he got sent packing. I'm a Pedregon fan over Force, but I think they were wrong and were babies about losing. If they didn't get spanked, they wouldn't be talking about it.

 

i totally agree with you luke i am a huge force fan and his team happened to align themselves for the way things played out! cruz's destiny was in his own hands and he lost period and the pedregon brothers were outspoken and disrespectful the way they handled it! it sucks they had to make such a great heated battle into a pissing match race your car!

I think any competitors upset about him laying down in the semis to make sure ALL his cars make the countdown is simply mad he has four cars faster than their one. Force owns Cruz,lol

 

IMO: John Force allowed his insecurities to get the better of him. Whether he threw the race or not, he is a professional and shouldn't have stepped to Tony like that. Either way you look at it, Ashley could still torque my rod bolts anytime!!!

It has been that way in motocross as long as I can remember. That's racin.

 

Regardless of the results of what happened in the standings, cruz and tony have the same right as Force, money doesnt allow cruz and tony to have another car or 2. Like what they said he can only voice his opinions. It made a very interesting and entertaining day. You could feel the tension and heat in the air before the races even happened and then when Force lost to Hight and Force was talking to the camera you could feel the tension of him looking around for tony and cruz to be coming ...

The race cars are like time bombs very hard to pin point and stick with a judgement like that from the officials however im sure they have there critique methods... None the less kept me glued to my seat...

 

i dont think it was forces insecurities. looked more like emotions got the best of him. the biggest mistake he made was putting his hands on an nhra official. he didnt run up on tony guns blazing at first. force confronted him it started getting loud and once they got separated pedregon said something (supposedly called him a cripple) and force went off. tony was antagonizing him the whole time like a punk in the schoolyard. bad look on his part.

It was great, drama brings spectators. Spectators bring $$$ and at the end of the day the more drama there is the more people will be interested. Its not all about the racing when it comes to entertainment and I think that it was great yesterday.

Usually my wife doesnt watch NHRA with me but after my dad called me and told me about the argument and the drama that was unfolding she was interested and wanted to know all the details and history behind all of it.
