Need assistance on mounting battery
To begin with I would like to detour any1 wanting to bash me or anything I say, since I have posted a few times before and all I got was a bunch of ignorance.
As I said above I have posted a few times before, but I am no where near the mechanic that most of you who frequent this forum; which is why I am asking this fairly easy question. Alright I've got this battery see, like most cars, but mine is lacking a few things. Like most batteries mine has the tray but thats it. I'm guessing the guy that owned the car before me had to move it around and in-turn forgot a few parts necessary to hold it down. All that was holding it down were some old zip ties that I replaced imeadtaely after purchasing the car. I am ready to do this small fix but wanted to ask for assistance before screwing up something. Any advice will be helpful....
NO BASHING... I'M NOT A FREAKIN MECHANIC!!!!

Are you planning on mounting it back in the stock location or in the trunk?
Local auto parts stores, Advanced, Auto Zone etc should have the battery tie downs which are pretty inexpensive. Just looks like 2 hooked pieces of steel with a flat plate that holds the battery down on the top.
If you plan on relocating the battery to the back, summit has a nice install kit that comes with wire, a box and tie downs.

Yeah i went and found those n got one but the tray that the battery sits in doesnt have anything holding it to the car.... its just sitting on a part of the frame being held down by zip ties?
My dad said I need to take a drill n drill holes n bolt it down, but I have heard that when u drill holes in the frame that you got to put some sort of non rust goo in order to prevent rust in the hole

Yeah you will have to drill holes if it doesn't have it already for the j hooks to go into to secure the battery, the stock battery tray has little slots cut into them already if you are using that which it sounds like you aren't.
