Quick question.

So i have a 02 civic Si. I just recently noticed my exhaust has a leak, it currently sounds like a raspy race car. anyways i think there is a crack right after the CAT. for one day the check engine light was on, but now for the past 2 days it has been off. since i don't have the time or money to get it fixed right away, is it OK to drive with an exhaust leak, even if there is no CEL?

I'm sure it would be fine temporarily, especially with no CEL's...

 

yea its aight. i drove mine with the gasket missing from the downpipe to the cat convert. it kept throwing a code but it didnt really mess up anything from what i can tell. i would fix it when you get the time though just to be sure but you should be okay.

 

Yea that is what i was thinking. As long as i don't have the CEL, i'm happy about that. now all i have to worry about is the noise. its loud. but i will get it fixed in time. thanks people for the replies.
