Default what oil should i use on a fresh rebuild first start up!

hey honda tech member! i got a few questions for ya's! please help me with the best of ur knowlege thanks in advanced!

ok i build a ls/vtec! 18a1 bottom ende all machined ETC! and a jdm b18c gsr head! i have the mtor fully built and i was wondering what motor oil is best for the first start up! i was told u run the car for 20mins on 2000rpms and then drain the oil and change filter! and check for anything in the oil! if nothing u put new oil again back in it and ur good and then break the engine in after 500-600 miles! and not shift higher then 4500rpms and never hit vtec!

ok soo as i asked whats the best motor oil?

mobile 1 full synthetic 5w30?
or just something not synthetic?

whats the best for a ls/vtec?

also how many liters or quarts does the ysk-1 lsd tranny take?
whats the best brand to buy? i heard pennzoil syncromesh was good? and info on this?

ok thanks in advanced honda-tech members on helping me!

On my Builds I've Always used NON-SYNTHETIC for the first 1000 miles. Than royal Purple for the next 1000 than i switch to mobile 1 full synthetic 5w30.

As for ysk-1 There is no tranny by that name. Its actually stamped on all the transmission cases. Its Either ys1, A1, or S1, and i recommend HMTF. As for how much just fill it up till it starts pouring out... About 2 1/2 - 3 quarts.

I use the cheapest non synthetic oil. The cheapest oils are the only ones that do not have detergents and additives which you dont want/need to break in a new engine. I also change it after the first test drive with more cheap oil.
