Default noise when i break

i have a 97 civic. i've had this problem for a while now. when i push the brakes i get this like kind of clunking noise and i slight feeling in the pedal. it got to the point where it was really bad. I replaced the lower ball joints they were shot but still had problem. just replaced the tie rod ends they were also shot. that fixed the problem about 70 percent but it is still there a little bit. the brakes and rotors are new also. anybody have a clue what else it would be? anything helps thanks

If you have rear drum brakes and u just replaced the shoes the drum could be warped and could still cause some of that noise, or it could be wheel bearings to you have any humming noise?

well i just replaced the front pads and rotors didn't do the back. but no humming noise. it definately feels like and sounds like it's coming from the front. i know there are also inner ball joints on the tie rod anyone think it could be these since replacing the outers fixed it dramatically? If so has anyone changed these? They hard to do?

It could be the lower control arm bushings. If they are rotten you can have some slop in your suspension which can be heard when you step on the breaks. Chances are that there is a problem in the suspension, steering rack, or wheel bearings. Those are the main things that can go clunk.

if it makes a clunk clunk noise like the pad is shifting...im sure its your rotors, i fixed many when you don't resurface the rotor correctly. go get new ones or resurface it at a different shop

i don't think its the pads, hard to describe the way it sounds and feels but it helped tremendously replacing those tie rod ends there is just still a little bit left which was why i was wondering if it could be those inner ball joints on the tie rod. i read on here that those rarely go bad but the tie rod end were shot and so were the lower ball joints so maybe its possible?
