Default ? best all motor cams

i have a b18 sleaved. 85mm, 14:4:1 compression gas ported endyne pistons, b16 head with full port and polished head with supertech valves springs and retainers, with m 2 4 x cams, dialed in, jg manifold skunk 2 70mm throttlebody, , but why can i make power, have tuned it twice, only make around 230hp. thats the same as i made with the jun3 head package, is there a better set of cams out there. thats the question, or am i doing something wrong

230 seems about right if you are on a dynojet. Some other more friendly dynos will tell you that you make 250-260 WHP, but that is just a mere number that people go by. I would look at what the head flows, obviously what set of cams you have will matter, and that you have decent intake and exhaust manifolds.

what cams are you running anyways? what header? you are making pretty good power for your setup, assuming you are not on a dynapack, mustang dyno or some dyno that is very generous on numbers. If you want to start making some serious power out of a 2 liter motor, you will have to be very persistent on finding the right combination of parts and tuner that will get the job done.

A good friend of mine once said that "not all 2 liters are created equal" and he is definitely right.

exactly. Things that matter powerwise. Listing what type of fuel rail you have or that you use ARP bolts is meaningless.

a 1/4 mile, mph is also very important.

have you tried a different dyno?

you never said what fuel you are using. that is NOT a pump gas motor

Bisimoto makes the best Camshaft in the industry.
1)We Scientifically designed in house for specific engine codes. This means the best power and reliability for your application.
2)Bismoto cams exist in stages, and not a one size fit all. This simplifies your buying decision.
3)Bisimoto Cams have Dyno and track proven performance. This gives you the confidence that your purchase is the right one, and works.
4)We have custom grids, unlike the competition.
It differentiates you from your friends and competitors, and also offer you a solution for your unique build. And it allows for the most powerful camshaft designs ever: if you like a competitors cam, we can make it better! For example, if you like the competitor's camshaft bottom end but not the mid-range, we can change the mid-range to suit your likes.

It's actually kinda tacky though. PM'ing someone would be much more classy.

I would also concentrate on the intake and exhaust manifold design. your hytech is probably fine, so maybe an intake manifold built for your specific setup would help you get to around 250 WHP

Are you suggesting an intake manifold porting? Why?

nah i'm suggesting an intake manifold designed for this guy's specific setup.

85 bore motor should be able to do 250+ WHP (on a dynojet, not one of the other "generous" dynos) given the right considerations to design.
