*sigh* Im having a problem with my Accord LX idleing rather wierd. Its a very corky high mileage (265k) unit, but I ran into a problem last night while the car was idleing where I lost some oil pressure, and my temperture gauge shot up. As soon as I got moving again and the outside air was allowed to pass throught the radiator, the problem was solved. This was an issue about a week ago, so I put in some new coolant and that was that. Now its back to torment me and I wonder if the electric fans are working as they are supposed to. Anyone else having a similar problem with some advice as to the fix?

 

what year accord? check your oil if the light is comin on. let the car run and make sure the fans kick on. check for coolant leaks.

 

I'm having a similar issue with my accord. The idle stays just below 1 and after I drive for a few hours the idle will drop and turn the car off when ever I slow down to stop. When it does this the oil light starts blinking. I checked the oil and it's full. My accord is a five speed and the only way to keep it running when it does this is to keep my foot on the petal so the rpms stay up which isnt easy to all the time. Any one got any ideas.
I just had a new alt, valve cover gasket and oil pressure switch installed 2 weeks ago. Any ideas?
