Icon6 gsr swap wont rev past 3500 rpm

I bought a 89 crx with a gsr swap, the car rides out pretty good but some times all of a sudden the ecu goes into limp mode and wont rev past 3500 rmp, ill reset the ecu and it will be fine again but later it seems to ack up yet again and ideas???

Check the check engine codes first. If the car is obd0 then look at the little LED and count the flashes. If it's obd1 you need to figure out what kind of conversion harness it has so you can figure out how to jump the codes off the ECU.

If the car is obd1 you should be able to just put wire on d4 and connect it to a ground and it should flash the code for you.

However it does sound like your Map sensor is bad or is going bad.
