WHATS A BETTER EMS CROME PRO OR NEPTUNE?
Crome - 150
NepTune - 175 (150 if you buy Demon hardware at the same time)
eCtune - 199
Hardware will vary depending where you get it from. You're probably not going to find hardware and software for 250 total unless you find a used ostrich for dirt cheap.

so which ems is the best from those 3 and I know my tuner knows how to tune on crome but i don't know about neptune or ectune either

It is pretty user friendly. Check out the NepTune RTP software for free. www.HRTuning.com/software/
theres nothing wrong with crome pro. even the free crome. all you need is the ostrich and burner. but the other programs are good too. i thought i saw recently on the pgmfi.org forum that cui is going to be putting out monthly updates/changes with crome at the end of every month but who knows. i have to say the support of other companies is very nice.

There was something posted to that effect a long time ago and he didn't follow through. I've not seen anything remotely recent saying anything of the like or updates, for that matter, to show that it's true.

for roughly the same price, you can get updated, sophisticated management and REAL support.
the answer is clear. I think Cui still has people waiting for their strings from a couple years ago lol.
Thanks guys for all the help I don't know if im going to go with neptune or ectune depending on if my tuner can tune on these programs
Would you guys mind detailing exactly what is better about Neptune/ECTune over Crome? I have Crome free on my laptop at present, been having a look at it for when I install my ITBs, and with the Pro license it seems to offer everything I need. What will one of the two aforementioned programs offer over Crome Pro?
First, these are all ROM editing software, not EMS's.
All the ROM editing software available can build fuel and ignition tables, and get the car running, and running well.
I just made the switch from CROME to eCtune, and the layout, usability, and performance of eCtune is much better. Specifically (and this is only pertinent to my all-motor application) the datalogging function is more streamlined, the software can allow for serial logging of wideband O2 (basically you do not need to wire in the 0-5v out from your WB into a PIN on the Honda ECU, you can plug in the serial cable (or serial-usb cable) and eCtune can detect the signal for most WB applications), the MAP trace options are better, the base ignition offsets are user selectable, there are no intermittent connection errors, and my favorite - there is a dedicated forum for software and hardware support that the developer actually posts in daily.
The advantages are even greater when dealing with an FI application. eCtune offers electronic boost control and subsequently boost-by-gear.
There are more advantages than the ones I listed, these are just the ones that stand out to me.
I have also heard great things about Neptune. I think you will be very pleased with either ROM editors.

I just installed a Neptune RTP on a swapped hatch as my first tuning project (done entirely myself). I built a base map, uploaded it and had the car idling fine in a couple of minutes. Could not have been any easier.
cool thanks guys I I'm going to go with ectune now especially that it has boost by gear it's a little more expensive but I guess it's worth it
