Boost setup suggestions
Hello,
I have stock boosted B16A (227WHP) in an EK that got one piston cracked, so it's time to think what to do now that the engine is open.
I'm thinking of three different setups now:
- Get forged pistons, rods, etc. with stock sleeves, compresion ratio 9.0 to 1 and a higher boost level.
- Get LS stock pistons to get a lower compression and more boost. (cheapest solution).
- Get a B20 with stock internals and have a low boost.
Please post your suggestions, the idea is to have more power than before and also more realiable.
Thanks

I say a set of forged pistons/rods stock sleeves with 9.5-10.0:1 CR and boost. Don't be scared of a little higher compression. Just means you better have a good tune (which you should anyways)
^^^^ I agree with this guy. your first option is the best one. not only is it good but you will def. make more power and your tuner should be able to get it going good and reliable... hopefully...
