My ITR!!!
A nice 4-1 header, carsound cat and then some Tein HA
Then follow up with a Power FC
Personally im not much of a fan for the HKS filters. Im not sure if Ive seen a HKS intake kit for the DC2R but I think they're the HKS SPF kit?? The HKS filters aparently dont filter to well but flow just as good as most. Still cant beat Apexi Power intake and K&N in filtration and overall performance though...

Because there are very few Intakes that proved to show much if any gain over stock.
The HKS has never been one of those. Better filters to consider would be the K&N and Comptech for less $$$ or Spoon or Monster for more$$$.
And the HEADER Has been proven to be one of the first bolt on's to produce signifigant gains Sans a full well made exhaust setup IE: SMSP or Hytech...
Remember though, if you do the header, a High Flow cat or test pipe should accompany it. Testpipe for those in regions that don't require emissions and High Flow cat for the rest of us.
After the header and Cat, though a well designed cataback will compliment it all.
BTW, this has been covered here quite a few times before. Use the SEARCH to find the answers and information.

PS I say go back to stock with what he has and just do a FW/FD combo for MORE of a noticeable difference! Been there, did that...
