need help asap... oil separator needed? 95gsr

Is the oil separator needed on the back of the block or can it be eliminated? if yes, whats easiest way to eliminate?

If not, when it goes bad does will it cause motor to burn oil?

Using a catch can is the easist way to properly eliminate it

Can I see the best set up for a single and a dual catch can. I have an NA LS. Auto cross car and daily driver.
