Hydro to cable conversion won't go in gear now?
CLIFF NOTES ON BOTTOM!!!!!
Last night I traded my Ej2 coupe for a 1991 Civic Sedan in Dx trim that has been converted from OBD0 to OBD1. The car has a 2001 OBD2 Gs-R motor and transmission and has been converted from a hydro set-up to a cable set-up and been converted to OBD1. When I test drove the car everything was fine, on the 1.5 hour drive home the car was fine but as soon as I got on to my street the car wouldn't go into 3rd gear so I stopped and tried to put it in to 1st only to discover that it didn't want to do that either. So my friend and I pushed the car underneath a street light to check everything out and after our initial check nothing stood out at us so I turned the car off and while the car was off it would go in to gear with absolutely no problems what so ever, but as soon as you fire her up she won't go into any gear so I turned the car back off, pushed the clutch in, put it in 1st and started her up and drove it to my garage in 1st gear. When we got to my garage it was somewhat reluctant to come out of gear which seemed even odder to me. Long story short I have been up all night trying to diagnose the problem, I've spent probably 4 hours on H-T searching for answers and I believe that I have narrowed it down which is why I have asked for your help. Does this seem like a pressure plate issue? Possibly a throw out bearing? How about a vacuum issue? Transmissions and electrical systems are 2 things that I am absolutely horrible at so any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
CLIFF NOTES!
91 Dx sedan with 01 Gs-R motor and trans converted to OBD1 with a hydro to cable setup
Car drove fine til I got to my street then wouldn't go in gear while car was on
Checked over everything now I wonder if it's a pressure plate, throw out bearing, or a vacuum leak but it could be anything that's just a guess.

It's funny that you mentioned clutch adjustment because I have a friend who is a tech at a local Honda dealership and when I called him earlier he suggested clutch adjustment and when I got home from work about 15 minutes ago I went to see if anything else had changed overnight, and it hadn't so I put the car in gear turned the car on and as soon as the car fired it started pulling forward so I let the brake down and with the clutch in the firewall it pulled itself up the curb, up the driveway, and into the garage. Oh and if it matters the rpms were at about 1600.
Thanks man I appreciate the help. I'm assuming you're talking about just adjusting the lever that is behind the clutch pedal itself and goes into the firewall? My friend has a 89 CRX Si and his clutch pedal travel is seriously about 2x the length of mine as well as his pedal is alot stiffer than mine.

Update time. So after working on this thing for almost 2 weeks I finally got everything to jell and run smoothly. I replaced the clutch line, clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, and I also replaced both axles. I also adjusted the clutch pedal itself and the car is actually a joy to drive because the clutch isn't an unsprung 6 puck that was made for a supra or somethin. However I have a feeling that it might have just been an issue with the clutch line itself, it was pretty frayed inside after I replaced it. Regardless everything works well for now.
