99 Teg, Suspension Question
why o why would you ever want a set of those?
pic? koni/gc? skunk pro-c?
any of the above look attractive? they should.
FF like most of the other south china sea junk shocks have untested dampening curves, blow out and are hard or impossible to service. we've went over this many times in the suspension forum. it's your money but FF is one place i wouldn't spend my $500
ever notice most of the guys who autocross at PIR including myself are on koni/gc?

I have the F2 Type 1s and I hate them. Made for ricers who want to slam their car to the ground (which makes them popular around these parts). Dampening blows, still havent decided whether the spring rates blow as I need to check my preload, but out of the box the rears are stiff as **** and the fronts are soft and bouncy (either shitty dampening or too little preload...or both). I have the rears jacked up as high as they will go and I barely have room between by fender and tire (which I wanted about an inch and I have about a quarter).
Basically if you want to slam your car to where its tucking wheel (not tire, but wheel) and have complete **** spring rates/dampening, then go for them. Otherwise, but something worth a ****. Possibly the Type 2s are better, but the hell if I'll buy them to find out.
I was checking out the Koni/GC set ups but i was a bit confused, with the spring rates and all that...What would be the best koni/gc set up for a daily driven car that might get autox when the times right? I am also looking for the best bang for the buck because the koni/gc setup is like 8-900 with top hats...Thanks for the help guys

1. kumho xs, star spec and others under 200 treadwear. use springs 500/450
2. yoke s drive, pozenza 760 and other harder sport tires 300 treadwear or under use springs 450/ 400
3. all season tires that are hard as rocks, above 300 treadwear like the kumho ast. use springs 400/350
these rates will give you a sporty feel and let you keep in touch with what the suspension is doing. going to stiff on too hard of a tire basically makes your car feel numb since it becomes harder to feel the limit.

okay, so what if i want a spring rate that i can use with all the different set ups? If i order the GC's from the marketplace should i tell the seller the spring rates i want are (ex. 450/400) or are there GC coilovers that i could just use without having customized spring rates? I want to be able to go pretty low yet still have the functionality

okay so how low will the 380/250 spring rates get me? Allow me to tuck? I've been reading around and noticed that 450/400 was pretty popular...sorry for asking so many questions i'm just new to this whole spring rates stuff. This is also my first time buying suspension, so i figured i'd do it right the first time.
