my P28 ecu is about to be chipped with the diy chip kit from phearable.net and i set my launch control point at 4.2k, whats confusing me is how do i engage launch control?! is there a button that a press or ??? lol. plz let me know

Well, for one it's not launch control, and for two, all you do is when you're at idle, not moving, you just put your foot on the gas and it will rev to 4.2k then keep bouncing right there. There's no way to 'enable' or disable it, it's always there.

 

if its not LC then what is it?

 

It's just a 2 step that holds the rpms when you launch/builds boost in neutral/off the line. Real launch control will be working the whole time when you launch, compensating for wheel spin and traction and other factors.

 

i see a lot of people shooting flames while in 2 step, is that normal seems unhealthy for the engine... they must be running rich?

the feature is called launch control on the editors. if you want to call that real or not...

In my opinion don’t use it. the 2-step that the editors use is a fuel cut. it SUCKS and by no means is a good way to launch, its WAY too slow. it will not give you the same launch every time. don’t use it, it will **** you off.

If you want a good 2 step then you need to get a ignition cut, its much faster and will give you the same rpm launch every time.
