heater control knob stuck.
I don't know what's wrong with it. I tried removing the **** and using some pliers but didn't use much force for fear of breaking it.
It's the metal thin inside that won't move.
Can some one tell me what theres looks like when its all the way to hot, there's a litttle slot in it. I need to know so I know I'm turning in the right direction.
anyone know how to get it unstuck?
Thanks

WD40 maybe? Try turning it both directions, someone may have turned it all the way cold or hot and then replaced the **** so it appears to be reading differently.
Ok do it the easy way.
Pull hood release cable.
Unlatch hood.
Look at the back of the intake dpfi/mpfi, then look down.
You will see a little black piece of plastic with rubber tubes going to it (shaped in a Y).
On top of the plastic tube you will see a bent piece of metal with a wire on it.
That my lad is the heater control deflector. spray wd40 on that. Then gently move it back and forth.
This will release your heater.

Look up under your dash from the glove compartment side for the metal wire that runs from your climate control to the heater valve. Manually move the lever back and forth at the heater valve to see if that will set it free. The cable could be binded.
