jdm itr header for b18b
will jdm itr header and carsound 2.5 and itr 2.25 be a good setup for a B18B motor? keeping in mine a B18C1/5 swap maybe in the works in a couple of years. so parts will be passed down.

i was considering a similar setup on my b18b not too long ago. seems like the the ITR exhaust might be a little restrictive in the long run, especially since you're mating it with with the 4-1 and a 2.5" cat. that stuff sounds good for the b18c, but unless you're planning on heavy NA work for the b18b..i'd go for a good 4-2-1 header. the ITR exhaust might be adequate for that application, and the 4-2-1 will make better use of the LS's already meaty midrange
of course, there is the possibility that i haven't a clue of what is going on

anyone who says the header doesnt fit a b18b is a total jackass with 0 knowledge.
not only does it fit, its a great header for any b18b application. (besides sc, in which case kamakazie that bitch).

the ports are different... the ports of every b series head are differnet. but the eventual port end size / bolt pattern of the exhaust manifold of any b series head are the same.

it does fit, with no problems at all, i have the setup on mine jdm 4-1 2.5 carsound cat, and thermal 2.5 inch cat back, i would say that if you are looking for a quieter exaust the itr cat back is a good choice, if you know that in the not so distant future you will be putting this stuff on a fairly modified n'a motor i would take the extra time to find or build a cat back that is 2.5 inch
ya i already have the itr cat and catback, but i will need to change the cat sooner or later, i want the jdm itr and carsound on my b18b for now. my other setup consideration would be comptech 4-2-1 itr cat and itr catback.

do you feel alot more power with the itr 4-1 as apposed to a dc 4-2-1???
whewww...that bitch must be loud considering you have a thermal on it...

i'll try and give you an idea when i get the car back next week, though it has been over 8 months since i last drove her on the road, and the last setup i had was a bottle neck so i dont know if i will be that great of a judge, old setup: dc 4-1 random tech cat and tanabe rm new setup: jdm 4-1, carsound cat, thermal r&d and of course a car that is 500lbs lighter
but i'll try, hehe

4-1 will be better in the top end, you may even lose some low end, a 4-2-1 will gain hp in the mid range, but not as much up top
imo 4-1 is better for a b18b cause we alreaty have the mid range, we just need a little more top end, that is of course if you dont mind reving the engine

ya that was exactly what i was thinking, i've got go low (comptech icebox vs aem), we need the top end. and when i see an itr tranny i won't mind reving at all
