My 1991 Acura integra wont go past 3300 rpms anymore i dnt know why. When i down shift it will go past 3300 but when i hit the gas it does nothing but make this weird noise as if i was going 10 MPH in 6th gear or something.. My computer gave me some readings like code #14 and # 17 i think...anyone that can give me a clue...thank you ....I dnt want to lose my first integra and manual trans to something like this.

 

14 - IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve
17 - VSS - speed sensor

try cleaning the iacv on the back of the manifold. if that doesnt help, it could be your distributer

 

I would also check the fuel filter and the catalytic converter to make sure they arent clogged.

 

swap the iacv and map sensor plugs
that happened to me once and i had em backwards
