well here it goes. i bought a ground control koni combo from a guy in my area for a good price. turns out as im putting the front ones on tonight and he failed to inform me that he cut the bolts on the collar to adjust the ride height on the ground controls. I tried drilling them out and tapping for new bolts but the stock bolt must be hardened and seized beyond belief.

what im looking for is if anyone knows where i can buy just the collars or if anybody has any unmolested collars they'll sell me. I only need 2 for the front.

right now i have a ton of electrical tape around the threads bellow the collar so it cant go down and the spring will keep it from going up. kind of scary though so i need new ones haha

call ground control, they will sell just these pieces. your other option is drilling it out and re tapping

 

Are they the newer style perches/collars with the goldish spring perch (collar is the same size as the Konis) or the older style with the black spring perch (collar is larger than the Konis and needs the "doughnut" to fit)? Either way, I may be able to help you!

Ground Control will not sell individual parts for the collars. I tried this over the Summer and recieved a less than helpful email saying they don't sell individual parts. So, I went with Koni sleeves instead. They took the time to be helpful and sell the individual parts. Bought the parts through King: http://www.kingmotorsports.com/category.aspx?cat=130

yet another reason you don't email vendors. i have no idea why so many of you guys do this honestly. you can cover SO much more ground calling them

 

I did the same exact thing and bought Koni sleeves and perches all around for my konis. Still have the groundcontrol's with seized screws, haven't bothered to drill them out.
