Default Thoughts on the HFP suspension

Anybody install the HFP suspension that lowers the civic 1" ? My dad recently got an 09 Si and he is considering a conservative drop (I can't convince him to slam his car on coilovers ) and figured it has to be good since it comes from honda.

Is he right in thinking it will be a very reliable setup? Is it a noticeable improvement from the stock suspension setup?

Also, is $450 a reasonable price for the setup?

The drop is conservative and there is a noticeable difference in handling characteristics.

The reason I like it is the Honda quality designed and manufactured for the specific chassis.

I have never heard a complaint from owners of the HFP suspension.

The only complaint I have is the minimal change in ride height.

I've heard that too, but I wouldn't even really call it a complaint. More of a preference thing.

Great modification! The ride is great with improved handling and no hassel with camber issues. You can get a complete set for $450.00. No regrets.

If you do go with this mod, make sure you also upgrade your tires especially if you are still rolling on stock Michelins.

I have tien and they seem good, but anything good enough to be sold by a dealer is number 1 probably pricey and number probably good and actually set up to do good for your car

As for the price, it beats most other alternatives. For 450 you get springs, all bolts, top hats, and struts. Normal retail for HFP is 800.xx.

I still say go for it.

The only thing I don't like about the HFP is that the drop was kind of not that noticeable, so after i opted for the HFP I now am going into skunk2 coilovers.
