Default How did you fix your "loose" clear corners?

I tried this tonight and it worked. If you just push down, while pulling towards the front of the car, it will secure the drivers side corner better. (This has probably been posted about before, and is a really stupid thing to worry about, but I have heard others complain about it...so here goes).

I put the stock lenses back in.

Voila! No more looseness. And it looks better too.

haha...and I was hoping that this would help people who DON'T have amber anymore...plus, I think the clear looks good on black...

Although I have to admit...I thought about throwing them back in a couple of times, but no need really.

To solve your problem:

Put masking tape on the arm of the clear corner (the arm that slides into the metal slot). Wrap the base of the plastic arm (of the clear corner). Three full layers will do the trick! After that no more vibrating corners...

I know what you mean about the loose fit, though. That was one of the reasons I went back to stock.

And if I lived somewhere where the clears were stock, I think I'd be trying to import a set of ambers over.

Clears are good for CW ITRS, amber is good for yellow ones, either or is good for black...

I dont like PY with orange corners...IMO it looks ok with FBP ITR's but not PY. Im rockin lightly smoked clear corners, and mine arent loose.

Your crappy aftermarket lens don't have a good seal.

Swapping them out for your stock lens eliminates the problem.

So what would you be going to the dealership for?

what i did was i wrapped some electrical tape around the plastic piece that is held by the metal piece it slides into. therefore it would be more snug. it helped a bit but i eventually got tired of the clear lights and put the amber ones back in.
anywasy i think the amber ones look better than the clear ones on a py itr..
