Timing Belt valve adjustment + brake question
Assuming i've been reading correctly, when you get the timing belt service they also adjust your valves, correct? I have been hearing quite a bit of noise from them, much more than I use to and my mpg hasn't been all that great to say the least. Avg is about 22 and thats even when I baby the car, maybe ONE WOT for a few seconds on the whole tank of gas. So maybe the timing is off?
I also am hearing a "ch ch ch" sound from my passenger side front wheel that increases w/ speed and gets worse the longer I drive and that rim is usually a bit more warm then the drivers side. The rotors and pads are original! and I have 114,xxx miles on the car. So is that a frozen caliper or just a super warped rotor (and I know they are really warped)?
I will be taking ALOT of 8 hour drives and am trying to get the best possible mpg and am hoping these issues will fix the problem. I have a set of Power Slot slotted rotors and Hawk HPS pads that need installed and will have a shop do the t-belt service asap.
Any help/suggestions would be GREAT :D
Thanks guys.
