Default Buying GSR block w/ CTR pistons, need advice on what else need

Like the title says, I am getting a GSR block that has all new oem parts and that has also been fitted with CTR pistons. I need to know if I can bolt this directly onto my si head? If not what I would need? And if it does bolt right on, will the car run right for a couple of weeks till I can get it tuned?

My modification list as of right now is:

DC header, which I'm looking to get a hytech down the road

Magnaflow catback exhaust

Chipped p28

Blox intake manifold

AEM short intake

Walboro fuel pump

GSR cams

And I am in the process of getting rid of my 750cc injectors for like 310cc or a little bigger

I eventually want to run skunk2 pro 2 cams but for the time being I'm looking to get a set of CTR cams

Any input or suggestions would be great. Thanks

Yes, the head can be "bolted-on" with no issues. Your compression will be high. Small primaries (GSR/CTR) and high static compression are not a very good combination.

Also, it will not run very well regardless of the injectors without a tune.

Why is that not a good combination if you dont mind me asking? I'm new to all this, i have a general idea about high and low compression and stuff like that but when it comes to modding my car I get real paranoid and ask a lot of questions and like to hear opinions because I want my car to run great with no problems, hopefully!
