3rd gear going 100mph @ 5k rpm?!?!?!?

hey i have a 88 crx and it is bone stock...d15b2...
but knw i think that the trannys been tweeked...
how would i knw if it is?!?

That sounds about right. DX trannies have the longest gears of all honda transaxles.

no the dx, lx, and ex all have relatively short ratios. The cx will do almost 55 in 1st gear so it wouldn't be surprizing to hear 100mph in 3rd. not sure about hx ratios.
