Bouncy? Probably.
Stock shocks were designed for stock spring rates and stock ride height. Lower it and stiffen it, and they'll probably be a bit underdamped, which causes bounciness.
That said, many people seem to find slightly underdamped (and slightly bouncy) to be a better ride quality than correctly damped. Personal preference applies here. For example, I've adjusted my Konis to be as close to correct as I can for my spring rates through on car testing, and it feels fantastic to me, but my GF much prefers it when I turn them back down to what I consider a bouncy ride. YMMV.
No clue on actual drop amount.

is your shocks/struts still in good condition? take them out and press on them do they still push out? tein make pretty good street lowering spring application i have them on my scion and the wife think it's ride better than stock.
This statement is 100% correct. I had a set of s-techs on my 1996 Civic Lx a couple of years ago, and the ride was nice and gentle. Sort of reminded me of a full size Buick. If you are looking for any sort of performance gain, this setup will not lend any help there. However, if you are just looking to lower your daily driver a tad, it is decent, and you will not have to worry about any blown shock issues. Here is an old pic of the setup. This car was stock motor, so the drop is accurate and probably about the same you will see.

few questions if u dont mind me askin
1- how many inches was the drop ?
2- did u use ur stock suspension or u had some other shocks?
3- over all how did u think of the drop and the ride in ur personal opinion ?
thanks,

The shocks are long gone man, so I honestly couldn't tell ya! My brother bought the car to daily drive to work in Atlanta and hates "ricer cars", so we put it all back to stock. When I pulled the shocks and springs off, they still had some action, they weren't blown. He put some money into it and bought all new shocks/struts and we got the OEM springs back on. It road I guess a little better than stock, but after riding/driving cars with full suspension mods, it's hard to judge. The drop looks good and was not harsh at all!

says on Tein website its approx. 1.5 inch drop. The ride will be slightly firmer than stock, and yes probably bouncy with stock shocks. you should get perormance shocks. the shock and spring, among other parts, are designed to work together in controlling the cars movement. I have H&R sport which are 276lb/in F/R and if I got different springs I would go with at least 350 F next time. Depends on how much handling you want and if you can tolerate the ride.
