Why are hondas so easy to break into?
So i locked my keys into my trunk and my friend came over to me and tried 3 different keys. One was from his prelude and it didnt work. the second one was from a gsr and that one didnt work either. lucky enough he had a accord key and it suddenly worked. i dont know about you but that makes me more paranoid about the security of my car. any suggestions on what to do? if i change all my locks how much will it cost.
i just got an ek and the key to my eg starts the ek but wont unlock it. i was like wtf when my friend started the car with the key to my other car

umm, im almost 100% sure that all ef keys are interchangeable (opening doors and ignition) but ive noticed that eg's are all different. the honda key pattern isnt to complex so a half *** looking key will get your door open.
In the late 80's to early 90's this was common for most imports but I have tried it on my ek and don't find any keys that open it other than the stock key of course
Ok, ANY honda key that is not lazer cut under 2003 i think can be opened with any other honda key. They are all similar. I can run my rex with a GS key. My friend can run my 91 rex with this eg key. If you jiggle it, it has alot more play than usual and will eventually push up the pins
Shave doors and get door poppers....

who cares if the key works or doesnt their easy to get broken into regardless...my friend had a viper alarm 2 kill switches and a fukin steering wheel lock that **** still got took...i doesnt matter what you do if the thief wants it he'll get it. also depends on the experience of the thief if he knows what he's doing he'll get it if he's a noob. then you lucked out
NRG came out with a 90 degree steering wheel adapter and you get a key and it locks up into place no need to take your wheel off because it sits right a **** hair off the cluster glass.
