Default How much HP with Crower Cams

Ok how much HP will I get with my integra ls. I am looking to get the stock replacment cams so how much will those give me. I dont think I want the stage 1 or 2 because u have to get that extra kit for another 350 so I want to keep this within reason for me. I have intake exhaust and some other little stuff on my car if that helps. So how beniftical would this be?

No one can give you exact numbers, but these cams with gears and tuning would do you a heck of a lot better than intake and pullies.

Way more than 5-10 whp. I'm dyno'ing at 150 whp and 130 ft/lbs of torque. I have i/h/e/cat/no ps belt/crower 403/aem cam gears/s-afc. On my car at least, they added 15 whp, at least.

just because you or your tuner cant make power with crower cam doesnt mean they suck.

the crower 63403 VTEC cams are a pretty agressive grind and require alot more to tune than your average cam.......

and for you jackass, they were tuned on a dyno with professional tuners doing the work.

edit: do you understand that eh? or do you need me to spell it ooot for you?

I'd spend alittle more and get the 62404's they'll give you about 20hp. with higher compression i've seen them make about 175-180 hp with bolt ons and higher comp. like 11.5:1 to 12.1

yeah i would also say get the 404's. my friend had them in his 90 teg and they were pretty damn mean . he could easily keep up with gsr's and would beat the life out of si's. it was pretty tight cause no one knew he had them until he started his car and it sounded like he had a v8 under the hood. It was almost like a ls/vtec because he had so much top end.

The 404's are pretty bad-*** for a daily driver. My 403's were barely streetable until I got them all dyno tuned with an S-AFC. Basically, it comes down to money. If you have the money for Crower 404's, new valve springs, cam gears, S-AFC, labor costs, and dyno tuning (I mean all at once too, without immediate tuning the 404's simply WILL NOT idle and they will hurt your engine), then get the 404's. But if you just have a few hundred dollors, get the 403's. They can be run on stock valve springs and should idle decently with the gears at 0,0. Then when you get some more money get them all dyno tuned. That is what I did and I don't regret any of it. Plus, the 403's pull pretty hard as well. Here is my dyno of the 403's before I got the S-AFC (which added another 3-5 peak whp):

I also ran a 15.1 @ 88 mph with basically i/h/e/403's and the gears untuned at +2/-2.

i would not recomend running the 403 cams with out crower springs and retainers, the stock ones are just not strong enough

i agree...........the retainers are optional but the dual valve springs are a must when going over the stock rev-limit.......

but from the dyno sheet above it, doesn't it make most of it's power at 6800? so therefore no need to change stock retainers etc.

62403 Stage 2 - Street/Strip package. MOST POPULAR profile. Requires 84162 kit. 1000 to 8000+ rpm (15-18 hp).

84162 - KIT Honda/Acura 1.8L LS Dual Spring & Ti Retainers

taken direct from crowers website

i dont want to question their knowledge

your idle will be a little rougher then stock, sorta more of a rumble, but not bad at all, you can install them with out cam gears but you will not be able to tune them to get the most of your money
